PARTNER
Career: Started as a parliamentary lobbyist in health and local government. As a lawyer then specialised in the Pathfinder projects in health, education and housing before heading the PPP legal team working on the Olympics and the legacy for the LDA. Joined Rosenblatt in April 2011 to launch our new projects, construction and infrastructure practice.
What was your last deal/case?
A rooftop solar scheme for Smarter Energy
Solutions, a partnership with Haringey council
to provide sustainable and affordable
electricity from solar panel installations
on council-owned buildings.
Who would be your ideal client?
Working for Rosenblatt in Rio de Janeiro
on the Olympics in 2016 and its legacy.
If you could be any character in fiction, who would you be? The private investigator, V I Warshawski, always evading the clutches of the bad guys and taking her neighbour’s dog for a run by the lake shore in Chicago.
Describe your ideal weekend?
Hiking down and up the Grand Canyon.
If you had to go on a TV show, which would it be? Curb Your Enthusiasm, so
long as I get to play Larry’s latest girlfriend
as a mix of Cheryl and Susie.
Which was the first record you ever bought?
Ghost Town by The Specials.
Most dangerous thing you’ve ever done?
Either singing with my band in a pub upstairs
from the bus station in Manchester, or
advising the Mayor of London not to include the Olympic Stadium in the England World Cup bid. (My advice was politely declined.)
