David Fairfield
Corporate

Profile:
David Fairfield is a partner in Rosenblatt’s Corporate department. He joined the firm in 2001 and his previous firms included Titmuss Sainer & Webb (now Decherts) where he was a partner for over 7 years and, before that, Herbert Smith from 1985 to 1989.

David has wide experience of all aspects of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, including public takeovers, IPOs, secondary issues and MBOs (he advised the management buyout team of Seymour Pierce Ltd. He also has considerable media and entertainment law experience. For over six years he advised Sanctuary Records Group on their numerous transactions (including the acquisition of Trinifold Group (Robert Plant and The Who) and Elton John’s management company, 21st Century Artists. He also advised Sanctuary on their rescue rights issue underwritten by Evolution Securities. More recently, David acted for CSS Stellar Plc, the AIM listed Sports Marketing and Events company, in the sale of The Peters Fraser and Dunlop Group Ltd (PFD), one of the UK's oldest and largest talent management agencies with offices in London and New York.

David has acted for several institutional clients as well as private companies and entrepreneurs. In January 2008 he played a pivotal role for Sellar Property Group in the restructuring and financing of the Shard of Glass development, which will be an iconic feature of the London skyline. He also advised Collins Stewart plc in its acquisition of New York investment bank CE Unterberg Towbin and acted on the sale of award winning Frank PR to the Australian media company, Photon Group Ltd. David has undertaken a significant amount of international work, particularly in Italy and China. He advised recently on the sale of multinational CSC Pharmaceuticals Ltd to the Italian pharmaceutical group Angelini.

David has four children and lives in Teddington. He skis and plays golf, tennis and music (big band).
