Chris is a Partner in the IP/IT/Media department of Rosenblatt, and joined the firm in 2005. Chris specialises in non-contentious intellectual property and commercial matters. Chris' experience covers a wide range of technology, software and media sectors, and includes negotiating client deals for development, production, manufacture, licensing and other forms of exploitation.
Following his qualification as a solicitor in 2000, Chris has acted for a number of clients developing hi-tech telemetry and other components for Formula 1 and WRC teams, and Chris continues to act for a number of software developers in relation to their core products, as well as bespoke developments for specific projects and outsourcing deals.
Chris' clients include a number of major design, production and digital marketing and advertising agencies, including Tag Worldwide Ltd and Digital Marketing Group plc, and in relation to the development and exploitation of a number of new technologies and digital media. Chris has advised on a number of major media deals, ranging from refinancing of back catalogues of master recordings to the acquisition by Richard Desmond's Northern & Shell group of Channel 5, and subsequently on a number of Channel 5's major programme and other deals.
