Jon Lovitt

Jon Lovitt is a partner in the corporate department of Rosenblatt. He joined the firm in 2005, having previously worked in niche corporate finance law firms. Jon has acted for many institutional, corporate and individual clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity fundraisings, initial public offerings, secondary issues, City Code takeovers, venture capital investments, joint ventures and partnership matters and shareholder related issues. Jon has also advised funders, vendors and management in relation to management buy-outs and buy-ins.

Jon acts for a number of public and private companies, including Infrastructure India plc, Northern & Shell plc, Access Intelligence plc, Channel Five Broadcasting Ltd, Ingenium Archial Ltd, World Mining Services plc, IBIS Capital VCT, Elderstreet VCT, JO Hambro Capital Management Ltd and corporate brokers such as Collins Stewart, Cenkos Securities, finnCap, Seymour Pearce, Shore Capital and Daniel Stewart. His capital market transactions include acting for Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Capital Markets Ltd in relation to the IPOs of New Britain Palm Oil and Infrastructure India plc on the Official List, acting for Numis Securities Ltd on the IPO of Clean Energy Brazil plc and a number of secondary and subsequent fundraisings. City Code work includes acting for JO Hambro Capital Management Ltd in relation to its acquisition of SiRVis IT Plc, acting for SPG Media plc in relation to its takeover by Progressive Capital Ltd and acting for Handmade Films plc on its acquisition by Almorah Services Ltd.

Most recently Jon acted for Richard Desmond's Northern & Shell group on its acquisition of the Channel 5 Broadcasting Group and subsequently in relation to Channel 5's involvement with the internet TV joint venture, YouView.
