Neil Sampson has been a partner of the firm since 1994 when he joined Rosenblatt to develop the international business of the firm, in particular in China and the Far East. Neil has worked in China since 1985 and is a consultant to the firm's associate firms in Hong Kong and China. Neil is a Director of the China Britain Business Council and was appointed as Treasurer in 2008. The Law Society appointed Neil as its Chairman of the China Law Council in 2005.
Neil covers a broad spectrum of work including domestic and international dispute resolution, corporate and commercial transactions both in the UK and internationally, property transactions and a range of private client matters. Neil has worked on the listing of a number of Chinese companies on the London Stock Exchange. His dispute resolution experience covers a broad range of domestic and commercial litigation including international arbitration and leads the award winning personal injury department.
Neil is responsible for the firm's private client work including wills, probate and other private client matters. He has had a diverse practice that includes being a corporate bankruptcy inspector in Montreal, acting on the acquisition and disposal of major chemical plants in Europe and South America and representing a sovereign government in international arbitration matters.
Neil promotes the work of Rosenblatt in many jurisdictions throughout the world including China, India, Mongolia and sub-Saharan Africa. He works closely with UKTI and other government and non-government trade promotion bodies, often representing the interests of the City of London and UK business generally at international meetings.
