Graduate Recruitment criteria at rosenblatt
We currently recruit 4 trainees each year.
Our trainees undertake training in at least 4 of the Firm's 5 core practice areas. The Firm's core practice departments are:
- Commercial Property
- Corporate and Commercial
- Employment
- Financial Services; and
- Dispute Resolution
Our Trainees may sit with either Partner, Associate or Assistant.
The Firm has an open, friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which trainees are given an opportunity to become involved in high quality work.
As the training is extremely hands-on, individuals with initiative, who are able to take on responsibility, thrive. Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of commercial acumen and awareness.
The training is diverse and broad ranging as we strive to enable the trainees to experience as many disciplines within the principle practice areas as possible. Undertaking such a broad based training contract we believe enables a trainee to make an informed decision as to which practice area he or she wants to qualify into.
We have aimed to provide a well rounded training contract, which not only builds on your knowledge academically or introduces new disciplines but also prepares you for commercial life as a lawyer. We have established the "rosenblatt academy" where you will also learn about non-legal skills such as networking, presentation, relationship management and delegation. These skills we believe in addition to the training we offer prepare our trainees fully for professional life upon qualification.
Academic Requirement
A minimum of 280 UCAS points is required or the former UCCA equivalent as well as a predicted (or achieved) 2:1 is required. Rosenblatt recruits both law and non-law graduates.
In considering your three electives for LPC you must choose from within the Commercial Law electives, and then preferably with at least one of the Corporate electives, such as Banking and Debt Finance, Public Companies and Equity Finance and Acquisitions.
