Blair originally qualified as an Attorney and Notary in South Africa, where she practised as a Senior Associate at the oldest law firm in the southern hemisphere. There, she specialised in Employment Law and Dispute Resolution. She moved to the UK in 2016 and whilst cross-qualifying as a Solicitor, she worked in-house at the UK’s largest trade union as an Assistant Legal Officer. She joined our employment department in early 2019.
Blair acts for clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters, and has extensive experience spanning across matters in employment tribunals to those in higher courts. Throughout her career she has acted for senior individuals and executives providing advice on exit strategies and internal investigations. For her corporate clients, she has advised on matters including large scale redundancies, TUPE, injunctions and industrial action. As Blair acts for both employees and employers, she is able to provide unique perspective and creative solutions to her clients.
Blair holds a Masters degree in Commercial Law with speciality in Corporate Finance, Insolvency and Employment Law. She has particular interest in transactional matters, restructuring and collective employment law.
