Senior Associate, Dispute Resolution
Georgina Fallows is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team at Rosenblatt. Georgina qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and moved to Rosenblatt in January 2020.
Georgina has extensive experience in multi-jurisdictional and complex high value commercial disputes with a particular interest in large class action claims. Before moving to Rosenblatt, Georgina worked for a dedicated group action litigation team and she has built on this practice at Associate and Senior Associate level since joining the firm.
Georgina acts for parties to resolve disputes through litigation, arbitration and all other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Georgina has experience of representing stakeholders and high-net worth individuals across a range of industry sectors. Her cases have included claims arising from negligence, breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duty, breaches of trust, commercial fraud and professional negligence. She has acted for Claimants in numerous disputes for mis-sold hedging products, including claims for LIBOR. Georgina’s background also includes claims in competition law and environmental law.
Georgina regularly works on disputes which from the outset face complex jurisdictional challenges. Her practice often involves urgent applications, including to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. In 2017, Georgina was a member of the legal team acting for the second respondent in the reported case of R (on the application of Miller and another) v Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, otherwise known as the ‘Brexit case’. This important constitutional case examined the extent of the government’s powers to trigger Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union without first putting it to parliamentary vote.
In Georgina’s spare time she works as a helpline volunteer for a charity providing support for victims of sexual violence. She has a particular interest in supporting survivors of rape and sexual assault and regularly appears in the media to speak on these issues and the impacts of sexual violence on mental health. Georgina is also a trustee of the Survivor’s Trust, the largest umbrella agency for specialist rape and sexual abuse services in the UK.
