After completing her training contract at Rosenblatt in 2019, Verity cross-qualified into Employment and Commercial Litigation. She has since moved to work primarily in Employment, advising on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. Verity draws upon her civil litigation skills and experience when dealing with employment litigation.
On the contentious side, Verity has represented Claimants and Respondents in connection with Employment Tribunal claims such as unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, race discrimination, disability discrimination and whistleblowing.
In addition, Verity has assisted corporate clients with the handling of internal disciplinary and grievance investigations as well employee performance related issues. She has also assisted with the drafting and reviewing of company policies and procedures, settlement agreements, COT 3s and employment contracts.
Similarly, Verity has worked with corporate clients on the introduction of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme and related furlough arrangements as a result of Covid-19 as well as advising on and assisting with large scale redundancies.
