Luther Kisanga

Legal Director, Disputes

Luther is a Barrister with Higher Rights of Audience and acts for clients involved in disputes, as well as investigations and other regulatory matters.

Luther’s practice is focused on resolving high-value, complex and multi-jurisdictional commercial and regulatory disputes through litigation, arbitration, and all other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Luther has experience of representing companies, directors, liquidators, funds, insurers and high net worth individuals across a wide range of industry sectors. His cases have included claims arising from breach of contract, negligence, civil fraud, debt actions, breach of trust, misrepresentation, unfair prejudice, professional negligence and freezing and disclosure orders.

Hannah Jones

Senior Associate, Disputes

Hannah has experience acting on complex commercial disputes, often of a multi-jurisdictional nature.

She represents clients in litigation and arbitration concerning civil fraud, shareholders’ disputes, directors’ conduct, and contentious insolvency.

Hannah has also acted on insurance and regulatory claims. She has regularly appeared as sole counsel in the High and District Courts of New Zealand, including on behalf of the Crown in respect of criminal prosecution cases.

Helen Ripley

Senior Associate, Disputes

Helen acts on complex commercial litigation ranging from contractual disputes to commercial fraud, negligence and nuisance claims and corporate, construction and insolvency related issues. Helen has a background in acting for high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs as well as corporate clients in a range of sectors, providing strategic legal advice in relation to disputes and mitigating and managing legal risk.

Helen has particular expertise in advising on and managing larger, high value and complex cases including through trial and into appeal proceedings. Her alternative dispute resolution experience includes mediation, pre-action and mid-action settlement negotiations and adjudication.

Ben Siskind

Associate, Disputes

Ben specialises in complex contact disputes, asset recovery and commercial fraud and has particular experience with cases involving multi-jurisdictional issues. He has also previously worked on private prosecutions.

Ben has acted for a variety of clients, from International Banks, high net worth individuals and SMEs. He has assisted clients in bringing claims in both the county court and high court in civil proceedings and the Crown Court in criminal proceedings.

Madeleine Binkley

Associate, Disputes

Madeleine has experience acting on a range of disputes including several multi-jurisdictional cases.

She qualified in May 2020, having completed seats in tax, commercial litigation, and civil fraud at a smaller specialist disputes practice.

Madeleine has over seven years of litigation experience, having previously worked at a well-known FTSE 100 estate agency firm in their litigation department, handling a large caseload of debt recovery claims.

She also has experience in mediation and arbitration, acting for a variety of clients across different sectors including supercar dealerships and the aviation sector.
